AFJ Patient Transport Services / private ambulance service has grown significantly from when we started our operation in 2009 until this date. Originally starting with supplying NHS organisations with just Solo drivers, we now can accommodate the following to both public & private sector clients:

  • Walking transfers
  • Wheelchair transfers
  • Stretcher transfers
  • Solo crew
  • Double crew

Vehicles for our patient transport services vary dependent on the patients needs. Our aim is to ensure all patients in the care of AFJ have a comfortable stress free journey – whether it is a local transfer or a long distance transfer, AFJ will keep exceeding expectations.

AFJ Patient Transport Services also convert our own ambulances in house to meet specific requirements by any of our clients. Our fleet is maintained in house which means we don’t rely on any external sources if any problems arise.

Staff are trained to the highest standards ensuring those in our care receive the experience that they deserve. Below is some of the training our staffs receive:

  • FPOS BTEC Level 2 (Nationally recognised qualification)
  • Medical Gases
  • Defibrillator
  • Driving Skills
  • Safeguarding
  • Patient moving & handling skills

All staff undergo strict checks including an enhanced CRB prior to any employment commences.

With regular refresher training & appraisals, we ensure that all staff at AFJ remains motivated ensuring our high quality service is never jeopardised.

We are proudly regulated by the CQC (Care Quality Commission) and also proud members of the British Ambulance Association (BAA)
